Back in North Devon
We Haddocks are currently back in the UK staying in the town where I was born and grew up. We're visiting family and friends and having a great time, I forgot how much I miss the sea. Ilfracombe hasn't changed that much, apart from a few more hotels have burnt down (when will the insurance companies catch on), but the town is essentially the same. The sea air is making me very tired and I am going to bed earlier every night. In a few days time I'll be going to bed before I get up! :)

Glad you are enjoying your visit back home. Funny, isn't it? How our roots, where we were born and grew up, are always "home" even though we may go on to live in other places.
I totally agree with Maribeth, even if a few things change. Looks beautiful and peaceful there!
Sigh. The ocean. Have a great time.
What a nice picture, did you have such nice weather? I can understand that you miss the sea, I miss it, even though I grew up far away from it.
Hello Haddock. Can you send me your email address when you have time? I have something for you. My email is in my profile. :)
Hi from Canada: so you are all in 'Combe for a holiday.. you lucky people. Please go down to the beach and skip a few stones for me will you? And make sure you go to Combe Martin and say hello to Martin.... although he seems to have lost his mind (more than usual) if you are reading his latest posts.
definitely looks like it's a great vacation place to unwind!
Hi, nice to hear your back and enjoying yourself and the weather has been kind too. I bet the traffic in combe is a bit worse than you remember it, enjoy youyr stay. Bob
Lovely pictures!
Could be the iodine in the salty sea air making you tired. Or maybe you're just veeeeery relaxed! :-)
Maribeth - It was weird going back. Nice to visit but glad that I moved away! :)
CS - It is pretty but can be very boring when growing up there! :)
J - Thanks! :)
Deepblue - The weather was really good for the time of year :)
Beaman - Mail address has been sent to you Sir :)
Ex-Shammickite - We did actually skip some stone whilst on Wildersmouths beach! - Unfortunately we didn't have time to visit Shammick and Martin. But hopefully next time! :)
ET - Its nice to vacation there and take live easy but I wouldn't want to live there anymore :)
Bigbikerbob - Traffic is bad....and the parking is a nightmare! :)
Christina - That actually crossed my mind about idodine and my knackered Thyroid. An old school friend of mine also has the same condition and he lives by the sea. He didn't seem very tired though! :)
What a beautiful place to grow up! Now I need to add Ilfracombe to the list of places I want to visit soon.
