A bird in the hand

This a clip of the Juniorette with a bunch of parrots at Gatorland on our last family holiday to Florida earlier this year. Lots of other people had bird feed as well but for some reason the parrots seemed to flock to her.

Wow, she is braver than I could be. I saw one of those types of places when I was a kid, and my parents couldn't even drag me into that place.

How did I get a bird phobia??? :-)

I like your blog, thanks for commenting on mine!

Lovely! She is so calm-- maybe I was indoctrinated too early by Hitchcock.

Great video. That looked like fun. Maybe buy her a parrot for Christmas. :p

By the way, we just had a 4.7 earthquake in Kent this morning. Shook me awake.

I loved Gatorland as a kid. I think I was about 12 when I visited. We bought Alligator in a can, and my friends did not believe me that it was really alligator. LOL!

Two Drink Girl - Thanks for stopping by. Luckily my daughter really likes birds :)

Maribeth - Fortunately she is not scared of most animals. Only the ones with big teeth - Lions, Tigers etc! :)

Vallian - She hasn't seen 'Birds' yet :)

Canadianswiss - The Juniorette gets on well with most animals! :)

Beaman - I'm allegic to some parrot feathers, but a budgie could be a good idea. I saw about the earthquake on the news. Looks like nobody was hurt, but a lot of property damage though.

Maria - Gatorland is great. We've been twice now. We ate alligator nuggets when we were there. Its a bit like chicken. I liked it! :)
