Late showing

We popped back into the T-Com office earlier this week to find out how are DSL application was coming along. We were told some bullshit about new equipment having to be installed, but that we would still receive our DSL connection by end of March. To which I replied, “don’t you mean May?” but I guess they missed the irony. T-Com are still acting like British Telecom did 20 years ago. Sad really.

Yesterday I went to the gym on my own. So far I have always been with Mrs H. but yesterday she was working, so I was on my lonesome. Anyway I found the training a bit easier today and didn't feel so beat afterwards.

Last night Werder Bremen beat Juventus 3-2 in a Champions League match at the Wesser Stadium. Apparently it was a really exciting game with Werder scoring in injury time to win. But what was a major bummer, is that German TV didn’t show the game. The evening before they did show the Bayern Munich game. As always, it’s the Bayern game that gets televised. As a side note one of the Juniorette’s friends was one of the kids that accompanies the teams out onto the pitch before the game starts last night. If the game had been on the TV and she saw her friend, she would have probably died of envy!

And that's why God invented Premiere! :)

No, the Bayern game doesn't always get shown. The games that are shown on free TV are pre-selected before the season starts and they have no way of knowing what teams will be in those games. Maybe it just seems like they always show Bayern because Bayern tends to go farther in the Champion's League than any other German club.

Was a good game though. I hope they do just as well on the return game!

We don't even have a team competing in the UEFA Champion's League. Germany has two.

That's quite unfair.

Bayern Munich...the principle reason I don’t follow the Bundesliga.

That league reminds me of Collage Football’s “Big Ten” conference back in the 70’s when it was really only the “Big Two”; Ohio State and Michigan. And those were about the only teams anyone could name in the Big Ten.

"Northwestern? Where the fuck is that?"

Dixie - I refuse to pay Premiere's prices!.......I'm hoping Werder do well as well in the return leg.

Martin - No worries....no muscles yet......need to lose the fat first! :)

Flo - I Don't think South African teams are allowed in the Champions League :)

Just Another - The day will come when Bayern will lose their grip on the Bundesliga (I just hope it's in my lifetime!)

Scheiss Bayern! I tended to follow VfB Stuttgart myself which didn't go down too well when I lived in Muenchen, irritatingly Die Kings vom Neckar Stadion lost 1-0 in the Olympiastadion when I was there but they won the Bundesliga anyway and you've never heard Munich so quiet on the subject of footy it was to coin a phrase "herrlich"!
