The Rain in Spain
.....falls mainly in Germany if it's August. Germany has just had its rainiest month of August since records began. Eastern parts of the country had some flooding. Fortunately Hessen and Marburg didn't record the heaviest amounts of rain but it was still a lot wetter than normal.
The weather data for Marburg for the month of August 2010 can be seen here.
The online Marburg weather station from Wettereule is a great resource for finding out up to date weather information for Marburg and the surrounding area,

Nice to see you back, Haddock. Luckily I was in France during August! But it wasn't all that good there either.
I have found a very good rain radar site (http://www.meteox.co.uk) which is very accurate, but only for short term info.
Mr. Haddock!
What's happened to stories of Marburg, the Juniorette, women's football? I'd have thought Frauen-WM Germany 2011 would provide you with loads of material....
I must admit Mr Haddock it has been all too long, Christ even I'm getting back to it a bit more these days!
