The Five Generations
At the end of last year my nephew became a father. His son is lucky not just to have a grandmother, or a great grandmother - He has a Great Great Grandmother!I'm not sure how often this happens in families, but I reckon it's not that often.

No it doesn't happen often. We had four generations when I gave birth to my daughters, but Grandma dies a few years later.
Wow, five! I'm only part of a generation chain of four, but quite pleased with that.

Whoa 5 that's pretty rare, statistically possible obviously if each child were to have their own at 20 then when the fifth gen is born the 1st gen would be 80 but I don't think I know of anyone else it's happened to. Fortunately it means your nephew's son will have a wealth of history and experience to grow up amongst and that is priceless.

Up until my son was 8 we had 5 generations. It is not very common.
