The Five Generations
At the end of last year my nephew became a father. His son is lucky not just to have a grandmother, or a great grandmother - He has a Great Great Grandmother!
I'm not sure how often this happens in families, but I reckon it's not that often.

Wow - that does not happen all too often at all!!! Congrats to him. And thanks for the bday wishes.
No it doesn't happen often. We had four generations when I gave birth to my daughters, but Grandma dies a few years later.
Wow, five! I'm only part of a generation chain of four, but quite pleased with that.
I'm having a poll over on www.dackelprincess.com
Please come and vote! I need your opinion on this!!!

Hi, Long time no blog,It is unusual isn't it.We had 4 in our family but both our Grand kids are in their 20 but still single!!!.
A great photo of a remarkable family. :)
Congratulations to your nephew, and to everyone else in the photo.... 5 generations in one photo, that's really special!
Whoa 5 that's pretty rare, statistically possible obviously if each child were to have their own at 20 then when the fifth gen is born the 1st gen would be 80 but I don't think I know of anyone else it's happened to. Fortunately it means your nephew's son will have a wealth of history and experience to grow up amongst and that is priceless.
Good to see you back btw my friend.
Anneliese is in Heat! We leave on Friday for Berlin, Germany!!!
hello... hapi blogging... have a nice day! just visiting here....
Good photograph of the family.
Nana looks well.
Up until my son was 8 we had 5 generations. It is not very common.
