She is doing well, and is reading a lot of Harry Potter (she is now on the 4th book), although she is missing swimming and playing football. She has adapted quite well to using her left hand; probably a lot better than me, if I broke my right arm. School starts again in a weeks time, so she has tried a few times to write with her left hand. Hopefully in 4-5 weeks time the plaster can be removed and life for her will get back to normal.

Unlucky break

Oh No! Poor Juniorette! Please send her heartfelt get well wishes.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty useless, too, with my left hand. Get well soon, Juniorette.
ReplyDeleteBeing a tempo lefty is not so bad, she'll have to get used to ink marks on her left hand, though ;)
ReplyDeleteSending her fast healing vibes!
awe this is so sad...and I'm so glad that she is alright. What an experience having to be carried out of the woods...she must have been so scared..
ReplyDeleteGlad in the end she will mend and be able to participate in sports...

Poor Juniorette... what a rotten stroke of bad luck, just when she was getting on so well with the football and the soccer. And it's an awful chore trying to write legibly with your left hand.
ReplyDeleteI can write quite well with my left hand (I'm right handed) but you have to hold what I have written in front of a mirror to be able to read it!
Maybe she should try mirror writing!
Aww, poor little mite. What a rubbish time to break her arm, over the summer when she should be out running about and making mischief!
ReplyDeleteGute Besserung to her!
Thanks to everyone for their good wishes for the Juniorette. She has another X-ray on the 18th of August and if all goes well the plastercast can be removed.
ReplyDeleteJust that is necessary, I will participate.
